WELCOME TO ClineCON
DOWNTOWN PITTSBURGH'S GAMING CONVENTION!

Where? The David L. Lawrence Convention Center in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh next to the Westin Convention Center and near many major hotels. The Convention Center's address is 1000 Fort Duquesne Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.

When? ClineCON will run twice a year, in the Fall and in the Spring. The first will run on the weekend of October 18-19, 2008. The second ClineCON is scheduled for the weekend of March 14-15, 2009, also at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.

Hours? ClineCON will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and run continuously through to 6:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon. That's right: ALL NITE GAMING! 32 Hours of GAMING. Can you handle it?

How Much? Admission to ClineCON is $20 per person for a Saturday/Sunday badge or $10 per person for a Saturday only badge. Saturday registration begins at 9:00 a.m. Admission for a Sunday only badge, beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, is $10 per person. Anyone found on the convention floor without a proper ClineCON admission badge will be escorted out of the convention area. Cash or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express) will be accepted at the door.

There will be no refund of the registration fee, no matter by what means paid.

Pre-registration Is Now Open!

How Can I Help? How Can I Get In For Free? Good help is always appreciated. A limited number of Friends of the Convention passes are available for volunteers who run events (i.e. tournaments, special versions of the game, lean-and-play demonstration events) or otherwise add something visual or unique to the convention experience. Friends of the Convention passes will receive free admission and appreciation and praise freely given.

Can I Pre-register? YES, pre-registration for ClineCon is (finally) OPEN! There will be no pre-registration for Events and NO EVENT TICKETS will be required to participate in any event! Events are filled on a first-come, first-seated basis, as long as there are enough seats and games for all players, so please arrive at the event before the listed starting time. Event masters will do their best to accommodate all interested players.

What Do I Need to Bring? Most attendees at wargaming conventions bring some of their favorite games in hopes of finding opponents to play or someone who is willing to learn to play their favorite games. Friends of the Convention who are running events will bring what is necessary or arrange for enough copies of their game to appear at the convention to run their particular event. There may also be game-manufacturer representatives and vendors present who have demonstration ("demo") games available to play. For a list of what not to bring to the convention, what will not be permitted in the convention area, see the ClineCON Code of Conduct.
